A Little Taste of Nature

It’s been a busy January so I haven’t been able to put pen to paper (fingers to computer?) for my blog as often as I might have liked. Fortunately, I have been able to soak up some of California’s wonderful weather and take a few hikes outside with Buddy.

I thought I’d share some of my favorite Instagram photos from my time in the golden hills of California.

Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram: meganeilers

Obsession of the Week | Contigo Travel Mug

Hi all!

Apologies for being so slow on getting my posts up.  I’ve spent the last few weeks/weekends packing, moving, unpacking and of course, working.  Fortunately, during that time I’ve been keeping track of stuff to blog about, so have no fear posts are coming soon!

Currently, my obsession of the week year is my new Contigo brand travel mug.

This bottle is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I have been using it for both coffee and water throughout my day and it is fantastic.  The description on the website doesn’t lie — it really does keep hot stuff hot for 6 hours and keeps cold stuff cold for 20 hours.  This morning I woke up (at 8:20am) to ice-cold water that still contained actual ice cubes.  Keep in mind that I put ice cubes in it at 7pm last night — that’s insane! The best part: ABSOLUTELY NO CONDENSATION — one of my biggest pet peeves about most water bottles.

Anyway, I know it’s only a travel mug (for coffee, water, whatever), but it is totally worth every cent of the $25.  There is only one downside and that is the fact that only the lid is dishwasher safe (the bottle itself must be hand-washed), but if you are only using it for water, you can get away with not washing it everyday.

I would highly suggest this bottle or pretty much any other Contigo item because they make really high-quality items that will be a vital part of your everyday life!

Senioritis

Apologies blogging world, I have had a bad case of senioritis.

My life has been all kinds of crazy these last few weeks and unfortunately my blog has suffered.

Graduation is 8 days away and there will definitely have to be some big changes to my blog with this new transition in my life because my tagline of “college student. coffee addict. hopeless romantic. girly girl. blogger.” won’t be accurate, as I will no longer be a college student. SO CRAZY!!

Anyway, stay tuned for the future of my blog and please keep the comments and resharing up, it means a lot to me!

Despite my hectic life, I have gotten in a few moments of relaxation in, so here’s a picture that will hopefully bring some sunshine and positive thoughts to your world

Fun Find | The Time I Studied Abroad

Hello friends!

Sorry for the lack of posts, this last month of school is serious crunch time — graduation in t-minus 25 days.

But….I just have to quickly share this amazing Tumblr blog my friend Alexandra just shared with me.  It’s called “The Time I Studied Abroad.”  Anyone who has had the [wonderful] opportunity to study abroad will appreciate at least a few of the gifs that are found on the site.

Unfortunately because they are gifs (i.e. moving pictures) I can’t reshare them the way they are meant to be seen, but here’s a few of my favorites taken as screen shots.

Definitely a must-see website!!

Goodbye Y’all

I’m headed to Texas! What a spot to spend my spring break in.  Everyone I know is headed to Mexico to spend some time on cruises or just laying pool-side with fresh mojitos, but no, I’m headed to the Lone Star State.

I’ve been to Texas once before, but it was a brief trip so we shall see if my California-view of Texas actually matches up.  Here is what I anticipate:

blistering heat

all things cow
lots of boot scootin’ and boogie-n’
I’ll report back and let all of my fellow Californian’s know what’s up about Texas.  Hopefully I will spot one of these too :)
(for those of you who don’t know, this is Sheldon Cooper (played by Jim Parsons– USD graduate) from the Big Bang Theory. In the show, and real life, he is from Texas)
Happy Spring Break, Y’all!!
