I was checking facebook and Tiny Prints, the company I interned with for two summers, is now carrying a new line of day planners by Erin Condren.  I WANT ONE!! There is a video all about what it offers inside on YouTube here. There are various styles of planning, and the colors & layout really look great. (the video shows it off really well).

Here is the link to Tiny Prints and here is Erin’s site.

Hope you all enjoy it! Let me know if you have one/get one and how you like it.

My Musical Cubicle

Hey Bloggers,

So as you may know if you have read my blog before, I am a total music junkie.  I am always keeping my ears open for a good song (mostly because I have music A.D.D and I have troubles listening to a song for more than a minute).  I really love to make mixes due in part to the fact that when I use “shuffle” on my iPod, I tend to end up listening to songs I absolutely hate (yes, I could take these off of my iPod, but that just seems like a lot of work).  So because I have this passion for creating different playlists, I wanted to share my most recent one with all of you (I think it turned out really well).  As a side note, most of my playlists/mixes have a certain “feel” to them, for example, really upbeat songs are usually what I use to work out to, so if a mellow or sad song slips in, the whole mood is ruined for me.  On that note, I’m not entirely sure how to describe the mood that this particular mix evokes, but I will do my best.

The songs in this mix are a combination of alternative and pop songs.  The “feel” of them together creates (for me) the perfect environment for me while I am at work.  I don’t know about you all, but I am allowed to bring my iPod to work (thank goodness), but there are some songs that are just not conducive to working at a computer.  Side note:  I have a good friend, who shall not be named (but you know who you are), who thinks I’m a little bit crazy for saying that there are “computer songs”, “car songs”, “workout songs”, etc….but for me, music has to mesh with what I am doing, otherwise things get ugly! :)

So, bloggers, here is my new favorite playlist for while I am at work (I think it might work for homework as well…which will be starting up again way too soon).  Let me know what you think in the comments (the link is at the top of the post), and as always let me know if you have any new songs (or old) that you would like to share with me. An important side note:  these songs does not fully represent the type of music that I like, I really enjoy a variety, this mix simply flows together well–if you suggest music, please don’t suggest a ton of alternative & pop, I like lots of music! :D

Sun Filled and Fun Filled

Wow, it has been far too long since I got on my blog. The past month has been absolutely jam-packed with moving and work, and driving! I am officially back in California, which is amazing. I am loving being back at work at Tiny Prints, and spending time with my sister, brother-in-law, and nieces.  I finally saw Eclipse (the third movie in the Twilight saga) and I’ve officially decided it is the best movie of the saga so far, and I’m desperately hoping to see it again, because waiting for DVD will just be too hard.  What team are you on bloggers/readers? I’m personally a fan of team Emmett! Kellan Lutz is so pretty :)

I don’t have any photos to post at the moment, but they will be coming soon.  I’ve finally started that summer reading list (well I started last night) that I posted before, I’m about 1/3 of the way through Dear John, and I’m loving it.  It’s taken some serious mental effort to get the movie out of my head…always the problem with seeing the movie before reading the book!  Have you bloggers been reading this summer? Tell me what books your interested in,  in the comments, I’m always looking for good reads! (even if it does take me a  lifetime to get around to actually starting the book!)  I’m trying to think about what else has been going on since I last posted something on my blog…. Ooooh, I can’t believe I forgot! Spain won the World Cup! How exciting is that?  I didn’t stick to my resolution to watch every game, but I watched a few, and of course, the very last game.

Anyway, bloggers & readers, I hope you are having a fun summer, and getting out into the sun (safely, of course), and spending time with friends and family… preferably around a BBQ!

p.s. the photo is one of many to come from my trip to the San Francisco Zoo!

Nothing Comes Close to the Golden Coast…

Well Blogging World, it is official, only 9 more days until I head to California to start work at Tiny Prints again.  Well, lucky for me (and I am being serious) I get to make the 9 hour drive all by myself.  Now, this may seem crazy to any sane person, but let me tell you: I LOVE ROAD TRIPS! Of course, it is a lot of fun to go with other people, but after a stressful quarter of classes and the challenge of choosing a different college for next year, I could use 9 hours to just sit and zone (while watching my speedometer of course).  The only reason that this long drive is bearable, and in my mind, enjoyable, is that thanks to the joys of technology, I can make playlists (instead of mix cds or tapes) on my ipod.  Yes bloggers, I will admit, I am that crazy girl driving down the freeway screaming at the top of her lungs in her car (p.s. I suck at singing, so it is best when nobody else is in the car).  I am okay with this, its a great tension reliever!  So, despite the fact that I really should be studying for my last final of sophomore year (I have 13 hours left before the test), I am instead creating playlists of the best road trip songs. So far one song that must be on the playlist–and is the reason for the title of this post–is, “California Gurls” by Katy Perry because it is so incredibly appropriate—I am a California girl through and through, and I absolutely love this song because it reminds me of being home in the sunshine.  I also plan on including some songs by Journey, Taio Cruz, OneRepublic, Carrie Underwood, B.o.B., Glee, and Brad Paisley. My gauge of a successful road trip is how hoarse my voice is when I get to my destination.  As always, I would love to get feedback in the comments. What are your favorite ‘car songs’? Is there any one band/song/genre that you have to (or for that matter cannot) listen to when you are driving? Let me know :)

2 letters. 1 FANTASTIC weekend!

Hey Hey Hey!

So I had to share my amazing news, not only did I get my amazing internship back for the summer, but I also got into University of San Diego!  I’m so excited that both of these pieces of news came this weekend, what a fantastic way to end a relatively stressful week!  I don’t know for sure where I am going to be going to school next year, but I know that I will be in my all time favorite place…CALIFORNIA!! Well I have to wake up at 5:30 tomorrow morning to drive back to school, so I am off to bed.  Have a great Monday!

P.S. Check out how gorgeous USD is…I mean who wouldn’t want to go there?!

Okay, so I’m not one to post a million things in one day, but my excitement requires another post.  I GOT MY SUMMER INTERNSHIP BACK!!! I’m so thrilled, I may scream! My internship is at Tiny Prints, the most amazing online stationery company–EVER (seriously, check it out)!  I work in merchandising along with some of the coolest, kindest, and most creative people in the world, and I am super-duper excited to go back for a second summer. (Some of their personalized stationery is below–I love writing letters on it, I feel like a real grown up!)
